Scott runs a business in specialized glassware. He has a Business degree and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Earlier, he had been Business Development Manager at the Edinburgh Community Trust, a charity that offers employment to people with mental health problems.
Alan spent his entire working career with H M Customs & Excise. Thereafter, he had a spell as Church Manager at St George’s West Church, Edinburgh, and is an elder in the united congregation of St Andrew’s & St George’s West.
Amy is originally from County Down but now lives in the Edinburgh area with her husband and two young sons. She is a senior scientist with an environmental consultancy. On learning about the Trust from its founder, she ‘was happy to serve as a trustee to help continue the work in which he believed so passionately’.
Revd. Gillian Morton, MA, BD, PCE
Gillian attended St Colm’s College, Edinburgh, for missionary training before proceeding to Northern Rhodesia, now Zambia, where she served with the United Church of Zambia for twelve years. Later, she attended New College, Edinburgh, after which she moved into hospital chaplaincy, first in Edinburgh and later at Borders General Hospital, Melrose. On her retirement in 2004, she became a trustee.
Sheila was a Deaconess of the Church of Scotland and a Sunday School Adviser. Later, she was General Secretary for Scotland of the YWCA and is a former Session Clerk of St Cuthbert’s Parish Church, Edinburgh. She became a trustee in 2007, but had been involved with the Trust for many years before that.
Bob is a retired Chartered Accountant having spent much of his life in a bank. He has worked in the City of London, and had spells in East Africa and Australia. He is very comfortable with accounts, and we use his expertise to the benefit of the Trust.
Oi Lin Barr
Oi Lin is a retired nurse, having worked in hospitals in London, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dunfermline. She comes originally from Malaysia, and is a member of the Baptist Church.
