I have been working for Amos Scripture Care Trust for 2 years now. This has been an interesting and enriching time. I have been involved in several aspects of production of the cards and am now working as the assistant administrator.

One of the aims of the trust is to help people with mental health problems by providing an opportunity to work. 1 came along in the first instance suffering from clinical depression. This had severely inhibited my ability to work. Getting involved with the cards helped me to regain confidence in my abilities again, by providing a fulfilling activity to engage in.

The Trust manufactures the scripture cards from start to finish. Being involved with a team gives all producers a meaningful role in the production process. It is satisfying to be involved in creating the final product and seeing the final destination of the cards. The teams work to a high standard and quality control is an important part of the work.

The Trust sends cards to many churches and individuals. Lately, we have produced cards with a Russian text to go to children in Belarus; cards for Coldingham Priory's 900th anniversary; cards for a Christian outreach in Coventry and cards for 'T in the Park' to be used by the Kinross churches.

Catriona Murray

Catriona Murray lived in Norwich and graduated in Social Policy at the University of East Anglia in 1989. She became a Christian while in Norwich. In Edinburgh she not only works for the Trust but also helps two days a week at Bonnington Resource Centre, a day centre for people with learning difficulties. Catriona is an active member of the Potters House Christian Centre.
