There have been a number of
important initiatives this year, some aimed at increasing
awareness of the Trust, and raising its profile for the
future. The service of dedication was a great encouragement
and we have sought through a wide circulation of our
newsletters and catalogues to spread the news about the
Trust to a wider audience.
Further, we began developing
our Web site early in the new year, and those accessing the
Internet can find out about the Trust and can order cards
through this medium. Our site has been visited by people
from many countries and we are sure the Internet will be of
great value in raising awareness of the Trust.
On the production side,
thanks to the generosity of one of our Trustees, we have
been able to purchase a new printer, which improves the
quality and speed of our production. Early in January we
received two large orders, one from Servants Aloft
Ministries, and another from the Woman's Auxiliary Baptist
movement.
We have two teams of
volunteers in Edinburgh, a team in Jedburgh, and one in
Kinross, who meet weekly to cut and laminate the cards. They
also take orders and arrange distribution of the cards to
local outlets. The cost of production is met from donations
made at the point of uplift, and from donations from others
who support the work and vision of the Trust.
