VOLUNTEER: a person who undertakes a service of his or her own
free will.
In these days of all-year-round bargain sales most people are on the lookout for knock-down prices or even the chance of something for nothing as with 2 items for the price of one. It is heartening therefore when we see something of the opposite, isn't it? What do I mean by this? Well, while most folks are looking to get rather than to give something, volunteers are happy just to give of their time without expecting any reward. However, it is not necessarily true that they receive nothing in return for the service they give; most volunteers have the reward of knowing that they are helping where help is most needed and appreciated. The Amos Scripture Care Trust has grown and developed in an amazing way over the years but at present it is limited in what it can do until more hands are on deck - are your hands available? We are in particular need of: a) CARD PRODUCTION PEOPLE TO CUT AND LAMINATE Are you a practical person who likes to see neatness in an end product? Can you give 2 hours per week to make cards? b) FOLKS WHO ARE FULLY COMPUTER-COMPETENT Are you familiar with word-processing? Have you couple of hours to spare each week? c) GRAPHIC DESIGNERS/ARTISTS Could you produce pleasing and imaginative images to complement Bible texts? Can you devote 2 hours per week to the Trust? d) TRUSTEES TO TAKE THE TRUST FORWARD If you have time to spare and would like to use your skills along with us in God's service, please contact us at mailto:amos-sct@dircon.co.uk Elinor Jones |
