ACCOUNTS

Scott Gilmore - Treasurer

In financial terms 2003-2004 represented the most successful year to date; all forms of income that the Trust receives have risen. The increase reflects the efforts the trust has put into marketing over the last 2 years, diversifying the range of outlets, and the new cards that have been introduced. We are particularly pleased at the increase in the amount donated by Gift Aid. This is an advantageous way of giving, as the government tops up any donation for the Trust, by refunding the tax back to us. If you would like to find out more about Gift Aid, please contact us.

On the expenditure side, the costs have risen proportionate to the increase in production, the only capital expense of note being the purchase of a new laminator.

Overall from a deficit last year the trust has moved into surplus. Income over expenditure for the year was up in excess of 150% on the previous. This in turn has strengthened our balance sheet with ensuring both stability and resources with which to move towards the fulfillment of the Trusts goals.
