When handing out the Amos Scripture Care cards one is often asked-how much the cards cost? Basically the members of the Trust believe the word of God should be freely available to everyone.
Realistically we must face the fact that the cards cost money to produce and therefore we ask that, whenever possible, the recipients make a token donation. This is not to make money, but to cover the cost of the production and to ensure the work continues.
With much work done by volunteers, production costs are small, but donations must cover the cost of materials and equipment. With this in mind we suggest a modest 25p for each card ordered or uplifted which will assist in the continuing work of the Trust.
We are confident that with the continued support of friends the work of the Amos Scripture Care Trust will continue and flourish.
However it is important that the Trust plans for the future. The Amos Scripture Care Trust was formed in 1995 by Bruce and has developed over the years with volunteers in Edinburgh and elsewhere.
The Trustees are now anxious to ensure the work will continue if, for health reasons, he has to withdraw from his work with the Trust. The Trust may have to employ some suitable person to run the office.
Thus it is extremely important we have sufficient finances to sustain the operation and appeal for donations to guarantee the continued existence of the Amos Scripture Care Trust.
