One of the advantages of facing difficulties when you are a Christian is that it makes you more dependant on God, and allows you to wonder and marvel at the solutions He provides. Towards the end of our financial year, the concerns about my health materialised when a large tumour on one kidney was diagnosed. This was successfully removed, but a scan revealed that the cancer had spread. Alan, our Chairman, and others, successfully kept the Trust going while I was hospitalised and recuperating.
Volunteers inevitably have to move on at some stage. We have learnt that when we lose a key administrator or marketing volunteer, our work with the Trust is hampered. This is why the distribution of our cards and our income from donations was reduced this year. You will have seen from the account of the Amos Vision that we have always focussed on teamwork for our producers. The success of this has led us to make a decision that most of the work of the Amos Scripture Care Trust will be carried out by teams of volunteers. Our first priority is to establish a team of voluntary administrators who can carry on the work efficiently, even if I have to be hospitalised again.

I am glad to report that the situation has already improved and we now have a team of four highly competent voluntary administrators. We will give more details of them in our next years annual report which will show a positive picture of our improving situation.

Another team of young graphic designers has been established. They have vastly increased our range of images to use on our Wisdom cards for young children and young people in offices. These two new ranges are available on our web site. However in order to increase their availability we will need to establish a team of marketing volunteers who will organise the distribution of these cards.

I have learned not to be anxious and patiently wait for the outcome that God has planned. I am delighted to say that rather than the Trust being weakened this year it has grown in strength.
