Very impressed with your cards, to date these are the best
quality that I have come across and so am pleased to support
this ministry in prayer and where possible finances.I can confirm an order of 100 cards for which we will send a
cheque ... by the end of the week, I hope this is
acceptable to you.
We at Medway Valley Church are having a
celebration event in Cuxton to Celebrate the fact that our
church has come through its first year and there are many
unsaved coming so the idea is to give a card with the program
and I do think the words that have been chosen are the right
ones for such an occasion, Dave Hall is a guest along with
another minister and their congregations so will gladly pass
on you best thoughts and kindnesses to him.
We would value your prayers for a successful night as this is
the first time this sort of event is happening and then being
followed in late Nov by all 3 churches coming together as a
sign of unity to the village. I thank you for your time and prayers in this matter.
Every Blessing and God Bless you all

Cards for children in
Romania, with Romanian Scripture Texts
Sorry I've not contacted you sooner, things have been quite hectic since
I've been back in the U.K.
This trip was another challenging experience, I had a fantastic time out there and the children were amazing.
I must admit it was so much harder this year going into the orphanage. I think the first thing that hits you is the smell, nothing can prepare you for this. On my first visit I spoke with the staff who then woke the children up so
I could tell them about the program we would be doing with them.
What happened next was over whelming, children came running out of their bed rooms,
I was pulled in various rooms all of the children grabbing my arms and touching my hair.
Over the time we were out there we had something organized each day with them. We could only go in for 4 hours in the morning, but after four hours with twenty children in each of the 2 hour groups we were quite exhausted.
On our first day off we went to Timosoara to see: where the revolution took place. It was a great day to learn more about the country and to see all of the architecture which was really nice. We met a young street child, he was playing what looked like a wooden flute. I gave, him some sweets and
the lamb scripture card. For a child I thought he would devour the sweets instead his face lit up and he sat stroking the
card. None of us were ready for his reaction, small things mean so much to them, I can't explain what happened when we saw him,
I can't really describe his reaction to the fullest extent but
I want to thank you so much. It meant so much and
I wish you could have seen how much the cards were appreciated by children and adults alike.
I'll send you through a report and a couple of photos. I'm afraid
I couldn't take many photos, I was stunned in some cases and felt it wasn't right. I do however have a picture of this young boy.
I hope you are well and I'll get a report typed for. you,
Take care and God Bless,
Angharad, 25/9/01

I am using my cards to
give with tips at restaurants to the
waitress, or to friends etc. They
are very impressed by them. I do not use credit cards, and it was
very nice that I could send a check for
my donation. I am praying for your work.

I was pleased to order Scripture Cards in
Portuguese for a friend on mission from
Scotland to Brazil. I have heard him say
that when he hears ‘Amazing Grace’ sung,
he weeps. He had been on drugs and on the
streets in London. An appropriate card to
send was one with a teddy in highland dress
playing ‘Amazing Grace’ on the bagpipes.
The scripture on the back says that Jesus is
the light of the world and those that follow
him will not walk in darkness. Praise God,
this scripture is now true for him, he has
been transformed from the kingdom of
darkness into the kingdom of light.’

I don't suppose when you met
me at the bus stop and gave me one of your
cards from Chronicles about being spared pain
that you realised (for I didn't) how much I
was going to use it and need it! But Prayers
have been answered.

| Thanks so much for
the lovely cards you made for Elizabeth and
Andrew's wedding. They were really beautiful
and much appreciated by the 'special family'
guests we gave them to. They were a nice
witness.

| I have found the cards
very useful and have enclosed them in
cards and letters to many friends here
and abroad. Being a bereavement
counsellor I have usually given my
clients a card at the end of our time
together. Some comments have been ‘The
little card meant so much to me – I
carry it with me in my purse.’ ‘I
thought God wasn’t with me, till I
read the text.’ The cards often
express words we may have difficulty
finding at the right time. Thanks to
Bruce and the teams for the thoughts and
hard work.

‘We have a supply of
Scripture Cards at both our churches, at Kelso
North and at Ednam. I know that those who
receive them are very appreciative, and very
often on my visits to the hospitals,
residential/nursing homes, and to the homes of
members, I can spy one of the cards perhaps
lying on the hospital locker, clipped to the
pinboard in the kitchen or perched on the
mantelpiece. Especially during those sad
times, many people find it comforting and
reassuring to think that someone took the
trouble to send them one of your little cards.
These cards do give a boost to people and give
them strength and encouragement, especially
when spirits are flagging. May you continue to
be richly blessed in all that you do.’

AN EASTER STORY
On Good Friday, I was asked, as
chaplain in the hospice, to say prayers with an elderly man
who was dying. This I was happy to do, though, given that
the man was unconscious, I was a little reticent about the
process. However, prayer is a deeper thing than our
consciousness can absorb, and, aware of the deep Christian
conviction of the man, I sat with him for a while, held his
hand while I said a prayer, and gave him a blessing. It was
a moment of profound holiness, and, before I departed, I
left one of the Amos Scripture Care cards on the cover of
his bed as a mark of what he and I had shared together.
Later that day, the man’s family came
to visit, sat with their dad, and also prayed the prayer on
the card.
The old man died peacefully in the
early hours of Easter Day, and, in discussing things with
the family afterwards, they confessed to have been greatly
supported by the little card, symbolising as it did the
deeper and continuing commitment to prayer and the blessing
of God’s love.
That Easter, even in the reality of
dying, God’s blessing was very real indeed.

I was quite overcome when I
opened my package this morning and
discovered the beautiful cards. Just as you said the
paintings have come up very well and I
will have great pleasure in taking them
out to Lesotho with your message. I hope that when
I return on 21 March I will have the Sesotho words
ready for you. Thank you very much
indeed for all your help and guidance
(in more ways than one) and I look forward to contacting you
again. Yours ANNE C |

and I are delighted with the sample of
the Daniel Trust Card you posted to us.
It is so lovely and we know they will be
very effective and well received in our
ministry for the Lord. Thank you so much
that you use your gifts to help us in
our work. We know we shall need more
than the hundred we asked for. Do you
keep a template or do you have to set up
for each lot? Would it be better for you
to produce more at one time, or in
smaller regular numbers? We have
decided that they are so lovely that we
will set more money aside towards your
costs, so please tell us if our donation
falls short. We are increasing our
donation to forty pounds sterling
for this run, and will post it on
Tuesday 6th May

We have our revised pages on-line including The Ministry to the Unborn and a new link page. We have counted you among our friends with a link to you. The cards are an amazing success and just opening up the work. Praise the Lord.

Dear Friends,
I thought you might be interested to
know that I gave one of your cards to a
'down and out' that I have befriended.
He has been banned from all the night
shelters due to violence when he is
drunk. Every time I see him he pulls out
the card and says 'Look I still have it.
I shall keep it always.' When I asked
him if he was still a bit free with his
fists, he said, 'That is beginning to
lessen a bit. What I do is take out your
little card and look at it.' Two more of
his (also banned) friends have asked for
them. Please pray for them. Their names
are Alec, John and Sandy (in their late
20's)....

I
really appreciate the care which has gone into
the production of these cards. They are
exactly what I have been needing for a long
time, and the fact that I can adjust texts and
pictures to suit my own needs is excellent.

| My
Scripture cards arrived today and they are
truly beautiful! I didn't expect the
lamination and was pleasantly surprised at the
wonderful quality. I assumed that they were
much like the cards I purchase for 10˘ each
in our Christian book store, a nice cardstock
card approximately the same size as yours. The
check I have mailed is likely not enough to
cover the costs (since they are
laminated...plus the postage), but I will mail
at least one more donation (after Christmas).
Each card is perfect, and I will gladly share
them! I also plan to show them to my
Director at Colorado Christian University.
They would be lovely cards to hand to new
students.
Thanks again,
Sandi Cameron

I'm writing to pass
on my thanks and those of Edinburgh Diocese
for the work you've put into producing the
Cards for our Diocesan Mission. I spoke with
the Primus recently, and he agrees that they
have been well produced and have been an
excellent resource for the Mission. Please
pass on our thanks to your team of volunteers
for a job well done.

On several occasions we have had Amos
Scripture cards printed for use in worship.
They have, for example, symbolised the Spirit
spreading over people, a gift of vows to each
other and a sign of Easter to be carried from
the service out into the world. In each case I
have then visited members who have had the
card on the mantlepiece in a position of
significant prominence. I have also had others
not present at the service requesting the
cards having seen them by the participants. It
is the simplicity of the card, the flexibility
and tailor made nature of the design and sense
in which others are supported by the purchase
that makes the whole relationship very
positive.’

| I
just wanted to thank you for sending me the wonderful

| I sent a card in a letter
to a lady of 87 in hospital, in
Edinburgh, who had fallen downstairs.
Doctors strongly advised her to apply
for a flat or bungalow. She was neither
senile nor simple, but had Parkinson’s
Disease, which had caused several falls.
When I visited her in hospital, a week
later without warning, I found her clutching
the card, which was telling her to give all
her cares to the Lord for He cared for her.
She told me that she had held it for most of
the week, and had been able to witness to a
Doctor and Nurses who had seen it. Although it
was hard, she had made the decision to move,
and now lives in a brand new bungalow, and
says she’s so grateful for my concern and
God’s provision.
