"God’s Only Son"

Come closer my friend
Let me hold your hand
I want to take you on a journey
To help you understand.

I want you to see my
Jesus for who He really is
Master, Savior, Warrior,
And also my closest friend.

No time can I remember
When He ever wasn’t there
I simply had to call Him
Speak His name in prayer.

All through my life’s long journey
In a world as cold as stone
Never has He left me,
I have never been alone.

According to His riches
My every need has been met
Many times have I tried Him
He has never failed me yet.

Each day I rise and thank Him
I thank God for all He has done
I thank Him for His love so deep.

He gave me His only Son.
